Our little comedian

We have put lots of photos on this blog, but its also a great way to remember the funny/cute things Lily is doing. She has started to speak in quite long sentences, and has said some hilarious things in the last few days:

While Playschool was on the tv, Mummy was trying to get Lily ready to go out. Lily said very calmly, but firmly: “I am not going anywhere.”. (!!!).

After not seeing us for a few weeks, Deb said to Lily (who was wearing a crown): “You are so big now!”. Lily said: “I am getting bigger and bigger – look at my crown!”.

Whilst at Deb’s, Lily walked up to her holding out an unripe paw paw with a bite taken out of it, which she had found on the ground. She said to Deb "Fucking possums". (Egads, Daddy must tone down his verbal hatred of possums - who eat his herbs on our back steps!).

Mummy met some new people and introduced Lily. First thing Lily said to them: "I want booby! I want booby!".

Our friend Naomi came to visit the other day. She knocked on the front door and saw Lily alone in the lounge room. She asked "Where's Mummy?". Lily said "Mummy’s in the back yard hanging out washing". Naomi said "Ok, I"ll go round the back to see her". Lily said "No", dragged a chair to the door, unlocked it and let Naomi in! (Note to Dept of Child Safety: front door has been deadlocked since!).

Beautiful face painting

Hide & seek

"Hide & seek" is currently Lily & Daddy's favourite game.

Lily thinking: "If I can't see Daddy, he can't see me".

Lily thinking: "HOW did he find me?!!!".

Lily's ballet obsession...

... has been fuelled by the re-discovery of Mummy's ballet & tap shoes from when she was a little girl.

Our friend Biku

Biku is the proud older brother of brand new baby Lucian. We have been lucky enough to have had some fun playdates with lovely Biku. A few weeks ago we went to the Workshops Rail Museum to check out their special Thomas & Friends Exhibition.

And last week we went to the Art Gallery and State Library where Biku & Lily explored the kids play area, climbed Futon Mountain, did some drawing and had babycinos!

We look forward to lots more fun times with Biku!

We did Woodford!

Well we've finally recovered enough from our two days at Woodford to update our blog! What a great (& exhausting!) time!

Mummy, Grandmamma & Lily were lucky enough to spend lots of time with Jack and his mummy Michelle. Lily & Jack are going to start kindy together next week. They got lots of practice at Woodford running amok together!

Having a snack from the mobile milk bars!

We stayed in the Tent City, where they have tents already set up.

It was so cold that Lily had to sleep in a skivvy, her Dorothy flannie pjs AND a fleece jumpsuit! In a sleeping bag! At the height of summer - crazy.

But it meant the weather was lovely, and we didn't mind the bit of mud.

We had fun times listening to our favourite singers including Emma Dean.

It was BYOP - Bring Your Own Peaz.

This one is for our friends and family o/s - some (according to Lily) "scary" kangaroos!
