Its a wiggly world!

Lily recently had a lovely visit from her cousins, aunty & uncle from Melbourne. We visited Southbank & Wiggles' World at Dreamworld. SO EXCITING!!! Lily had her photo taken with Dora the Explorer, Dorothy the Dinosaur & Wags the Dog. We went on the Big Red Car ride, had a spin in Dorothy's tea cups and went on Blue's Skidoo. Lily kept asking "Where Wiggles?" and I had to explain they were all asleep (not just Jeff, all of them!).

Happy Birthday Grandmamma

Today we went to the Belvedere Hotel to celebrate Grandma's birthday.
www.belvederehotel.com.au

It was a really great place with a playground & playroom for kids. We had a yummy seafood platter.

The best bit was having chocolate cupcakes afterwards in the park!

Lily almost had her first sleepover at Grandmama's house last night (we arrived at Grandmama's house to pick Lily up after we saw a Qld Roar game, and Lily told us she wanted to stay there - "Bye!"). But an itchy little rash on Lily's tummy meant a mercy "mook" run from Mum at 11.30pm. :-)

Bellydancing!!!

Every Friday we are lucky enough to go to our friends Alex & Mira's house to do....bellydancing! (If you are Lily then this must be said in an Indian accent whilst wiggling your tummy!).

Whilst we missed our friends Kirsten & Biku today, we had a lovely morning of hip shaking.

This is our lovely teacher Tamara who did a dance for us after class.

A Day of Milestones

This post might be embarassing for Lily when she's older, but what the heck!

Yesterday was truly a day of milestones:

1. Lily wore undies out of the house for the first time, to and from her swimming lesson, with no accidents!

2. She also wore her Havianas thongs for the first time without them falling off!

3. And she did her second poo in two days in the potty.

Our girl is growing up!!!

Love to our friends Jacinta, Owen & Pippin

Our very dear friends the Jollys are currently on a journey to welcome their second bubba into the world. Its been a long journey, and I am in awe of their strength, patience and grace.

Much love to you Jacinta, Owen & Pippin.

My friend Manon

Lily has a very special friend called Manon. She lives in our street and has four chickens (mmm, eggs!).

Lily & Manon like having tea parties:

They also got into the Christmas spirit the other day, making Christmas wrapping paper using potato stamps!

Thank you for being Lily's friend Manon!

Lily's Virtual World

I was inspired to start a blog for our family by my friend Mary's blog about her two boys. I think it will be such a lovely record for her two boys to be able to read about their childhoods.

Although I would love to start from the beginning and post stories & photos from the first two years of Lily's life, I will start from now.

Dear Lily,

You are so loved. You are such a delight - funny, entertaining, confident, patient (most of the time!) and caring. I hope when you are older you enjoy reading about the adventure we've all had together!

love,
Mum & Dad
